Enjoy with the books! Book Festival is just around the corner!




Full of Book Events: Meeting with Authors, Narration of Fairy Tales, Outlet for Bargain Books, and more.
June 1 to 2. Songpa Book Festival at Olympic Park Songpa District holds Songpa Book Festival where people can enjoy various book-related events.

Under the theme of “Let’s Read Together.
We Build Happy Songpa District”, this Festival will be held in Olympic Park on June 1 to 2.

Around 30 book-related organizations and institutions, such as, Songpa District
Public Library, small private libraries, Semaeul (New Village) Library, and around 40 publishing companies participate and about 300 people from the Volunteering Center of Songpa District will volunteer for the Festiva l.

The Festival includes stage events of ▲Opening Ceremony, ▲Author Signing Event, ▲Book Concert,and standing booths of ▲Narration of Fairy Tales, ▲Meeting with Fairy Tale Writers ▲Book Shelter, etc.
Also, there will be outlets for bargain books or flat-rate books held by the participating bookstores and publishing companies, or book reading event.

In particular, at the book donation event of the opening ceremony, the books donated by the residents of the Karak Siyeong Apartments who are set to move as the Apartments will undergo reconstruction, will be personally delivered to the Paraguay Ambassador.

Besides, there will be a variety of events for every family member at the Festival: Book Experience Event for the Blind, Old Book Experience, or Traditional Play Games.

The participation of all of the Songpa District residents is encouraged as this is the Festival where everyone can have an intimate experience with books and get the intellectual satisfaction.


Period: June 1 (Sat) ~ June 2 (Sun), 10AM~ 7PM
Location: Peace Gate Square, Olympic Park (No.1 Exit, Mong-chon-to-seong Station)
Opening Ceremony: 2PM on June 1 (Sat)- Nomination of Spokesperson, Book Donation,
Celebration Performance
