How to protect yourself from Murderer Tick(Haemaphysalis Longicornis)

- Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome, SFTS

① When you go around in the area known for ticks(forest or densely wooded areas), put on long trousers and shirts with long arms and put your trousers in the socks so that your skin is completely covered.

② Walk in the middle of the road in order to minimize your contact with the plants nearby.

③ Look for carefully any tick bite after you come back from a forest.
Within two (2) hours from your journey to the forest, cleanse out your whole body and check it carefully with a mirror.

④ Parents should take an extra caution in checking out their children’s body to look for any signs of a tick bite in their hair, ear area, under the arms, around the waist, behind the knees, or between the legs.

⑤ Put on bright color clothes because with bright color, rather than dark color, it is easy to spot and remove tick.

⑥ Use appropriately pest repellent to your clothes or exposed skin for the protection.
